Church Fabric Repairs, Parochial Church Council of Stoke by Nayland, Colchester

This is a project to make a number of fabric repairs to this Grade I listed church. A section of the outer leaf of the south aisle wall 4 x 2 metres of the church building collapsed to the ground in October 2020. Urgent expensive repairs were undertaken (funded in part with a grant from ECT – Project 1491, £25,000 + £10,000 awarded, Jan 2022). Now other issues have been found such that another phase of renovation is required to other areas of flintwork, parapets and clerestory windows and chancel wall plates. ECT is now funding the repair of the clerestory windows.
