Church of Our Lady, St Mary of Glastonbury – Re-Roofing Project

St Mary’s church was built c.1939. It’s roofing felt has severely deteriorated, allowing the frequent ingress of rainwater. Replacement with a modern membrane involves stripping the roof, installing the membrane and re-roofing. Building regulations will require insulation to be put in place – currently there is none. The structure of the church is affected by a vertical structural crack caused by subsidence, believed to have been in 1976.
