Churchdown Hill – improving year round access to a cherished local woodland

There is a growing demand and need to repair and improve the steps and paths across this beautiful, much loved site. Churchdown Hill is a green oasis in an increasingly urban environment and it is frequently used by a wide range of people and community groups. We know how important this site is for people’s mental and physical health, especially during lockdown, but large areas become inaccessible in wet weather and the winter. Improving the access, paths and installing orientation boards will enable people to enjoy the tranquility, beauty, stunning views and wildlife of this site throughout the year.
