Cilgerran MUGA

The intention is to create a MUGA on the school playing field for the benefit of the school and all those wishing to participate in physical activity in the area. The site is well located within the centre of the village and is easily accessible from the public footpath. The site is highly visible offering a secure location to youngsters and allowing residents of the community to benefit from an all weather facility.The need was identified following several consultation exercises with firstly the junior school then by PCC’s mobile youth zone over a period of 3 months. At present Cilgerran Community has no all weather facilities for activities. The school of 130 FTE would also benefit especially as it is one of the few schools in North Pembrokeshire, which has a SLA with PCC’s sports dept for physical education services external to the standard curriculum.
