Clare Lake Restoration

Clare Lake is a very attractive open space having open public access on its southern side through a public right of way. It has amenity, conservation and historic value. However the site has, in recent years, suffered increasing problems with unsightly algal blooms which are both hazardous to human health and detrimental to local wildlife. Our project to restore the lake to full ecological health will see it being used as a pivotal local asset to inspire and engage local volunteers, the local school and other youth groups through positive conservation and action.
