Clarence Park, Bury – Wheeled Sports Area Refurbishment (007466)

The project would be an improvement on an existing popular space which is used for wheeled sports – including BMX, Skateboards, Inline skates and scooters. The area has fallen into disrepair due to its popularity and material type. The area will be improved by replacing a worn-out tarmac surface and steel frame warped wooden structures to offering a fully rejuvenated area suitable for a variety of sports and interests. The site will be opened up by cutting back overgrowth and removing the fencing. The site will then be split into loose ‘zones’ giving opportunity to 5 main activities that remain popular with young people. 1. Parkour 2. Skateboarding 3. Inline skates 4. BMXing / Mountain Biking 5. Scootering.
