CLECKHEATON LAWN TENNIS CLUB

Cleckheaton tennis club currently have 5 courts at their site. Two grass, two shale and one tarmacadam. The grass and shale courts are not playable throughout the year or in inclement weather as they become waterlogged, and affected by frost. The tarmacadam court is puddled &slippery in inclement weather. The surfaces that we have currently provide limited use and we are struggling to meet our members needs. By replacing 4 of the courts with artificial grass the club will be able to continue to grow and develop. This includes attracting a more diverse membership, school links, and offering coaching and specific sessions to the community regardless of membership
