Clehonger Playing Field, Herefordshire – New Play Area (40311/D)

The project aim is to improve the run down playing field in the centre of the village which has extremely limited play equipment, and poor accessibility. We intend to provide a community focus with provision of play and exercise apparatus for all age groups. This will include modest landscaping, including wild life friendly planting thus enhancing the environment and biodiversity, footpath accessibility for disabled people and push chairs, seating for adults, and safe fencing. Open space will be preserved for whole village activities and ball sports. It will provide healthy exercise for all ages and encourage community cohesion as an attractive outdoor meeting place for all. This application will be for funding for the first stage providing a zoned play area for under-fives, plus a zip wire for older children. It will also include seating for the benefit of parents and older people

The Trust grant will contribute towards the new play equipment.
