Projects / Clifton Cricket Facilities Improvements

Clifton Cricket Facilities Improvements

The proposal is to develop the Clifton Pavilion by extending the current building. This work is needed to maintain the building and allow it to accommodate the increased usage of the site. The pavilion serves two grounds both of which are used on a regular basis. The fields themselves are important recreational areas for local children.
The improvements to the building will be of major benefit to the clubs junior section and the disabled cricket club. The new facilities will allow the club to expand further its junior section and extend the potential use of the site further by encouraging greater use of the site by local schools and youth groups. Clifton is one of the last remaining cricket clubs within the city of Nottingham.
The site is also used throughout the year by a number of other sports. These include football, rugby union, rugby league and American football. The facilities are also used by the Robin Hood Games which is an international paralympics.
