Clive Village Hall, Shrewsbury – Community Building, Energy Improvements (3) (007550)

This project aims to complete the full restoration of the 1899 Village Hall by redeveloping the main hall by:-
1) making it warm and comfortable to use, reducing future electricity and gas consumption by insulation and LED lighting throughout and more efficient radiators.
2) making it more physically attractive to use by restoring its original architecture, by removing an unattractive later false ceiling exposing the original trusses to full height and the original quatrefoil window with coloured glazing
3) enhancing its historic links to Clive church by displaying the circa 1450 church door that was moved to the Hall in 1899.
