Clowne Skate Park – Phase 2

The Sidings Skate Park (phase 1) was installed in 2004 on a disused area of former railway siding at the northern end of Clowne Linear Park. Including a multi-user path that links the Town Centre to residential areas on the north east of Town. The Skate Park has proved extremely popular with local young people, and suffered little vandalism or abuse. The foot-fall for the path is also greater than anticipated.

Phase 2 will focus on additional alternative play opportunities for young people. And, improved access around and through the site, particularly for those with mobility issues (disabled people and those with pushchairs), to access local shops and amenities via a flight of steps.
