Projects / Coastal and floodplain grazing marsh enhancement at Berney Marshes Nature Reserve.

Coastal and floodplain grazing marsh enhancement at Berney Marshes Nature Reserve.

The aim of the project is to continue the restoration of 75ha of arable land to coastal and floodplain grazing marsh (UK BAP priority) alongside an existing 394ha in order to protect the dependent BAP species found there. The site will also be used as a practical example of how land can be managed with locally and nationally significant wildlife in mind. Object DA enables the conservation of a species or habitat where it naturally occurs. This project registration covers the actual activity for the coastal and floodplain grazing marsh habitat and not the surveying and/or monitoring of other species.
