Coastal Conservation Action Days for Children

The project aims to enhance the biodiversity of coastal habitats on the Moray Firth for the benefit of rare and endangered species. During 2012/13, the project will carry out direct conservation action to create, restore and enhance coastal and shoreline habitats by planting native trees, shrubs and wildflowers, removing invasive non-native species, and clearing litter. This work will directly benefit a range of species under threat, particularly the bottlenosed dolphin which will benefit from improved water quality and fish stocks, and reduced threat from litter such as discarded fishing nets, plastics, etc.
