Cockermouth Scout Centre - Energy Efficiency Improvements

The project aims to make energy efficiency improvements including improving insulation and replacing windows, cladding and fire-door. In recent years user groups have raised a number of concerns about the building’s poor energy efficiency, cost of heating and the deterioration of external cladding, windows and doors. The deterioration of the high-level windows has also been raised as a potential safety issue. The need to make the building more sustainable and affordable to run has become a priority, particularly with increasing running/heating costs in the last few years.
