Coggeshall Big Park Project, Colchester

This is a project to refurbish and upgrade the play area at Coggeshall Park. Coggeshall Recreation Ground (“The Big Park”) is owned by Coggeshall Parish Council. The play area’s equipment is aged, damaged by vandalism and offers limited scope for exploration, physical or imaginative play. It is not accessible to those with mobility difficulties, children or accompanying adults, and the site is boggy and inaccessible during the winter months. It is therefore underused and unvalued by the community. In August 2019, CPC agreed to upgrade the park to create an appealing and accessible play space for all. The Coggeshall Big Park Fundraising Group (“The Fundraising Group”) is supporting CPC in delivering the project.
