Colan Recreation Redevelopment Plan

Newquay Community Football Club is a constituted body fully associated with the F.A. It has over 30 teams under its auspices offering Football opportunities for adults, youth and tiny tots of both genders. N.C.F.C secured a long lease on Colan Playing Fields and carried out a consultation process in the community to see if there was support for upgrading this neglected facility so that it could be utilized as a training centre for our club and a 21st century sports ground for the expanding village of Quintrell Downs. This consultation response was positive. Our plans will include 2 training pitches, 2 seven-side pitches, changing rooms and a car park. The ground will be re-graded and modern drainage systems incorporated. The nearest similar facility is over 10 miles away. We also want the local community to once again use their playing fields and not just for football. We believe that our 500+ members and the local community will benefit greatly from this project.
