College Lake Nature Reserve Visitor Facility Improvements

College Lake reserve supports more than 1,000 species of wildlife, including 53 species of wetland birds. Currently around 8,000 visitors come each year. Having just received a long term lease, we plan to create a new visitor centre, education centre and toilet facilities. This will allow us to appeal to a wider audience, including younger children, disabled people and the elderly. We will also provide improved interpretation of one of the most important wildlife sites in Bucks. We forsee an increase in the number of events, and a corresponding need for space for staff and volunteers. One section of the visitor centre will be designed to fulfil this need.
