Collingham & District Cricket Club - Green Electric Cricket Mower

Collingham & District Cricket Club (C&DCC) has been a well-loved part of the fabric of the village since 1849. The club has always represented more to local people than simply a venue for watching or playing cricket; it is a social hub, regularly hosting non-cricket events for the good of the wider community. C&DCC is a non-profit village club with women's teams and a thriving juniors' section as well as a long-established competitive men's section. The club has grown significantly in recent years, representing a welcoming environment for anyone to visit, whether a cricket lover or not.

This project is to replace a critical piece of machinery – the old diesel-engine pitch roller which is increasingly unreliable. At times the engine leaks oil over playing surfaces. The Club will be the first club in the area to operate a clean, efficient, electric-powered cricket roller.

The roller will be stored in a secure unit on site when not in use and will be fully insured.
