Combe Recreation Ground – Car Park Renewal

The project is to renew a car park, vital to the health of the whole community, which has suffered a deterioration that causes hazards to users, and restricts its capacity. By also improving its accessibility and its ecological footprint, this renewed facility will help promote well-being for all.
They would like a contribution towards the major works of resurfacing the eroded gravel surface, adding a drainage system to resolve flooding of the sole access path which restricts access to the site, and developing an eco strip for local wildlife.
A hazard-free and accessible car park is vital for over 1,000 regular users of the recreation ground facilities, as well as many more drop-in visitors. Without crucial renovation, members of the public of all ages will be denied access to the many activities on offer, reducing health and well-being.
