Community and Volunteer Meeting Space/Shelter for Horfield Common, Friends of Horfield Common, Bristol

This project aims to provide a fully accessible, good quality meeting space for FoHC volunteers and the wider community to enable increased volunteer-led activity which supports our aim ‘to improve the quality of Horfield Common for the benefit of all members of the public, local residents and the wider community,’ and which will enable FoHC to provide a fit for purpose space for volunteers which will support the organisation to develop its work and its reach – encouraging increased numbers of local residents to get involved in volunteering activities which protect and maintain Horfield Common. Currently volunteers do not have access to a good quality indoor space which can be used in poor weather and this is limiting FoHC’s work and the numbers of hours volunteers are contributing.
