Community Centre Refurbishment Project

The trustees have identified a programme of work aimed at preserving the fabric of the building and bringing the facilities in the Centre up to acceptable modern day standards for the benefit of current users and with the aim of attracting additional regular and occasional users in order to achieve the revenue income required to run and maintain the building into the future. It is planned to: * refurbish the toilets with a view to installing modern sanitary ware which will reduce the environmental impact of the Centre by reducing water use; * replace the rotten front door which is currently badly damaged and lets in rainwater, leading to deterioration of the building fabric in the front porch; also is not draftproof, making heating less efficient and making it uncomfortable for users such as Yoga and Pre School;* remedy damage to porch;* replace old, leaking guttering which is causing deterioration of the fabric of the building.
