Community Connections

To carry out improvement works to a public community garden, funding will be used to provide improved access to the site (pathways)and the installation of ornamental planting schemes, habitat and biodiversity enrichment elements and a rainwater harvesting system. We will also be installing seating and educational facilities so that the site can be utilised by a range of community groups alongside the public for outdoor education, accredited training and learning outside the classroom activities. There will be an element of food growing onsite to address issues of food poverty and support local community cohesion.
