Community Facilities Project

Our facilities are the hub of the community, we installed a multi-use all weather-playing surface two years ago, its success has been incredible, it’s transformed the facilities available for the community. Used for many different activities. Football, cricket, netball, multi sports, handball, fitness, hand ball and dodge ball as well as for meetings, charitable events and by local businesses. The facilities are used by 400/500 people per each day predominantly by the BAME community with the majority from deprived communities.

With the increase in the number of users wishing to use our facilities this is putting added pressure on our running costs. The main costs are coming through electric charges from the running of our floodlights, we have x5 all weather multi use pitches which are used from 3.30pm through to 10.30pm every day during the winter and during twilight hours during the summer.

We are applying for funding to install energy efficient LED lighting.
