Community Hall Extension and Landscaping

The project forms Phase 11 of a larger project. This is an area of high deprivation. The majority of the population comprises either the retired on a low fixed income or young, low earning families. There are very few facilities for them or our young people. The project involves building a conservatory extension which will serve as a ‘drop – in’ café manned largely by volunteers. It will provide a venue for youth meetings, mother and toddler groups and an environment suitable for therapeutic work. Together with adjacent hall it will provide a congenial setting for receptions and family gatherings. The derelict ground on which it is being built will be landscaped and enclosed to provide secure gardens with disabled access where children can play under supervision and the elderly can meet and socialise. Part of the plan involves the provision of a sensory gardens of particular benefit to the elderly and disabled.
