Community Hub Project – St Mary’s Church, Borwick

Our project is to enable and facilitate greater community use of the church building by first making it warm, welcoming and fully accessible. The provision of basic hospitality/kitchenette facilities with hot and cold running water, plus modifications to the internal layout, will enable us to host fellowship, meetings and events. We are to construct a small extension with ramped access which will become the main entrance lobby and will house accessible toilet and baby changing facilities. The old, inefficient heating system is to be replaced and draught proofing modifications made to the current main entrance to enable the building to be heated cost effectively.
