Community Hub Revitalisation: Improving a Social and Sporting Environment

This project will create two heated viewing and co-working areas, a mezzanine platform, and a kitchen serving affordable hot food—addressing strong community demand and reducing disposable waste. Our current seating consists of two exposed, uncomfortable areas in an old warehouse, making it difficult for users—especially those with health conditions—to rest or spectate, particularly in colder months. Many are forced to travel over 40 miles to access better-equipped facilities. The new layout will especially benefit local youth who spend up to 10 hours a day here, 2–3 times per week. In winter, our small office becomes an impromptu warm-up space. This upgrade will significantly enhance user comfort, safety, and overall experience, creating a welcoming environment that promotes both the physical activity and emotional well-being of our community, helping them to feel supported on and off the field.
