Community Jetty Refurbishment, Dudley Water Sports Centre Ltd

This project is to refurbish the jetty so that it is safe to use and fully accessible to everyone. The community jetty, which is vital for all water sports activities organised by all the clubs that use the centre’s reservoir, was built in the mid-1960s; due to a number of reasons including its age, over-usage and the construction methods used at the time, it is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous to use. In addition to this, it was built at a time when no consideration was given to disabled people and so is very dangerous for them to access.
