Community Links at St Philips (CLASP)

1. Creating a fit-for-purpose contemporary facility from 70 year old temporary structure
2. Renovation of the existing temporary structure and the creation of an atmospheric “barn” like structure which will be welcoming to use.
3. Raising the roof and improving the layout to create more space and allow sports to be participated in
4. Providing sustainable energy. Works will include the fitment of photovoltaic cells in a new roof structure
5. Improving lighting by fitting roof lights and Light Emitting Diode (LED) systems. This will provide lighting which is variable in colour and intensity in order to change the “mood” according to the type of community event held
6. Creating a larger kitchen area in order to make the provision of catering possible for community groups.
