Community LInks with Gorton Allotments

Promote the community’s awareness and relationship to Gorton Reservoirs Allotments.
Improve the awareness of the community and allotment plot -holders of their role in making their area a greener place to live.
The Allotment Society wants to engage the community, improving their experience of and relationship to the site, promoting opportunities for them to get involved and also improving some of the basic facilities for the community, as follows:-
Plant hedgerow to increase beneficial wildlife; to be planted by plot- holders and community members.
Training/ task days on wildlife gardening, open to residents and plot- holders.
Purchase signposts and notice boards to promote the relationship between the Allotment Society and the surrounding community. LCF monies to fund publicly accessible areas only.
