Community Mural Project

The aim of the project is to design and produce 6 murals which will be mounted on a wall at the Bonnyfield nature reserve. Each Mural will be painted on a sheet of Marine plywood by the respective partner organisations and then brought to the nature reserve. The mural will then be assembled to replace the existing mural which is now in a poor condition.

The project AIms to increase the number of individuals and groups who access and utilise the park, by providing a visual amenity for visitors to enjoy.

The groups involved in the panel design will be given a choice of subjects, all of which are designed to raise awareness of some aspect of the park and it’s locale, such as the natural heritage of the area, it’s industrial history, activities in the nature reserve etc
