Community Owls Project (COP)

To get local communities involved with wildlife conservation in their own area, using Owls (Barn, Tawny and Little) as a popular inroad. Local community groups, led by HOT Conservation Officer and Assistant Officer, will receive an introductory talk, project pack, guidance notes and training, enabling them to:- survey local area, create and conserve habitats, build and site nestboxes, monitor results, record and submit data to Environmental Records Centre.
