Community regeneration through waste minimisation is toogoodtowaste

This project will reclaim the contaminated land adjacent to a community building. The reclamation will address the problem of ground contamination that has been identified (see Ground Investigation report). The restoration will include the site works, drainage and substructure to provide stable foundations on to which an extension can be built at a future date. Following reclamation, the land will be used by the community organisation toogoodtowaste to extend their facility and services, using funding secured from the BIG Lottery Capital Asset Fund. An extension to their existing building will be built upon this land to provide a community owned asset, that delivers re-use and recycling services, anti-poverty services, volunteering and work based learning, as well as paid employment and community regeneration.
