Community Tea Rooms extension

Morley Elderly Action operate a community tea room with lunch clubs, games and activities for the elderly. A recent decision by Leeds City Council to close council run day centres creates the need for the voluntary sector to take up the slack. This project creates an additional community tea room for lunch clubs, games and activities and a meeting/training room for groups to access Monday to Friday during opening hours. The aims are to combat social isolation amongst the elderly, to create voluntary opportunities, and to improve health, independence and well being of the service users
