COMPLIANT NEW CHANGING ROOMS

Cheltenham Rugby Club/Newlands park is an ‘Open’ Community venue, providing sporting facilities for many rugby and football teams, together with many social events. The nineteen acre site is laid out with five/six pitches and often on a Saturday and Sunday they are all being used. The annual sports footfall/ participation is 34,000, which includes many school users. We are experiencing many Safeguarding issues, as we only have one shower block and small changing rooms. In order to be compliant with Rugby Football Union and Sport England standards, we are having to build eight new changing rooms, with separate entrances, so that all members can play in safety.
