Compost Toilet Community Garden, St Albans

The aim of the Project is to provide a toilet facility for a community garden currently under development (“The Overall Project”). Without a toilet facility, the utility of the Overall Project (on a relatively remote site) would be severely limited: for example, public access would be compromised and it would reduce the time that people with disability could spend there. Note: The Project is essentially narrowly focussed – it will be completed in a few weeks, with installation undertaken by skilled contractors – but is expected to provide wide and substantial long term advantage to the Overall Project.
The objective of the Overall Project is to expand the quality of life of, in particular, disadvantaged people living in urban St Albans by enabling them to develop skills in cultivation and sustainable food production.
