Connecting people with Nature

To enhance the enjoyment of visitors and local community groups at Fairburn Ings, through replacing an observation hide along our woodland trail, upgrading the woodland path and riverbank trail and constructing a reedbed boardwalk.
Our Village Bay hide needs replacing; it is unwelcoming and unattractive. It would be custom made, from recycled shipping containers to make it long lasting. We want to create a boardwalk through the reedbed, which will lead down to the lake to the different species of birds.
We want to upgrade the dirt track into a fully surfaced footpath, with picnic tables alongside it. We also want to add interpretation along the riverbank trail i.e. carvings and sculptures.
