Conservation and enhancement of ancient woodland on the Lower Wye Valley

To protect and restore the full bidiversity potential of a unique gorge ancient woodland: (1) Removal of invasive sycamore trees from ancient semi-natural woodland. (2) Restore a diverse canopy structure to areas of woodland neglected through lack of active management. (3) Re-instate a comprehensive coppice rotation. (4) Clear birch from south facing limestone slopes.
