Conservation of orchids at Swifts Hill Nature Reserve

Swifts Hill nature reserve is 10ha of SSSI unimproved lowland calcareous grassland which regularly supports 11 species of orchid, including pyramidal, fragrant, early purple and autumn lady’s tresses. It also supports breeding skylark and meadow and tree pipits. The project will include appropriate management for the habitat and species.
