Conserving the Grizzled Skipper Butterfly in the Vale of belvoir, Leicestershire

Restoration and enhancement of habitat for the Grizzled Skipper butterfly along a 10 kilometre stretch of disused railway line. Work includes scrub clearance, tree removal/reduction, creating open clearings and forming bare ground patches for breeding habitat. The project will link two of the four currently seperate populations of Grizzled Skipper, helping recreate a large metapopulation.
