Conserving the Wood White Butterfly in Northamptonshire’s Woodlands

This project will carry out a landscape-scale, targeted programme of practical conservation management to maintain and restore habitat for the butterfly in one of its few remaining strongholds - the Yardley-Whittlewood Ridge landscape of Northamptonshire. Working in 6 woods the project will 1) maintain and strengthen existing populations and 2) encourage re-colonisations of former sites within the landscape.
