The aim of this project is to tackle the spread of Japanese Knotweed in the Port Macadam and other public areas of Gatehouse of Fleet in partnership with a number of groups. This will be achieved by developing a 5 year action plan to treat priority areas, producing & distributing an informal leaflet to househoulds, prividing best practice control training for land managers, undertaking an annual programme of spraying at Port Macadam & other sites, annual monitoring of areas of treatment & spread
