Conversion of Boldon Lane Resource Centre to Activity Centre and Coffee Shop for Action Station

The project includes converting the space to be used by Action Station to be fit for purpose for its activities and allow Action Station to extend its leisure and recreation activities. A former training room will be converted to a new coffee shop that has direct access from the street. The Coffee shop will be available to all residents, workers and visitors in the area whether they attend the activities or not. The former training kitchen will be updated and fitted as a coffee shop kitchen. The remaining space will be redecorated as activity rooms with one room being Action Station Office. The new premises will allow increased leisure activities including rooms for activities where people can pursue hobbies such as arts and crafts, flower arranging, silk soldering, photography (with access to IT for digital photography), multimedia including social media, film club, walking club, Wii exercise, Zumba, recreational cooking.
