Cookley Village Hall

Our village requires a multi functional community facility for the following reasons:-
We have presently no community building. The community has a high health deprivation index (MDI rating 16.8, within the lowest 10% in England) and a large number of disabled citizens and there is a very poor public transport infrastructure. After several meetings and the outcome of the Parish plan it was agreed that a new village hall was essential. Activities in it will include those aimed at health, well being and personal development. It will be used by local drama & leisure groups that care for the young, old and socially disadvantaged. The village hall would be built on land owned by the village. The LCF money will be directed towards a meeting room that will be used for a youth club and as an IT facility for telecottage purposes and for training.
