Cookney Hall Refurbishment

Cookney Public Hall is largely unchanged since it was established in 1923. The kitchen area consists of a sink and some shelving, and the toilets are original. The project will refurbish the kitchen/ toilet area to provide a properly equiped kitchen which will double as a small meeting room and modern toilet facilities. This will make the hall suitable for catered function such as wedding receptions and Burn’s suppers; it will make it attractive for small groups such as the Women’s Institure who do not need to use the large hall, and it will make all facilities open to wheelchair users.
