Cornerstone

As part of a larger (£405,000) project, the aim is to provide a heating system for a new community building in Denton Holme, Carlisle; an area of the city with a range of economic and social problems. The building will provide a pleasant, accessible facility for the community, including a charity shop and 'drop-in' tea/coffee facility, with free services involving debt advice, counselling and social groups (e.g. knitting/craft sessions, book club), a homework club and internet access (with help with 'silver surfing' for older users). The building will also be available for hire for additional social uses.
