Cornerstone Church, Waltham Forest – Community Building Heating Replacement (007477)

The project seeks to install a new energy efficient heating system including replacement boilers, new pipework and radiators. This essential work will enable the building to continue to be used as a vital community asset providing space for community use for years to come. At present the boiler system is requiring regular costly maintenance in order to keep it running. Due to its age, it is inefficient, and replacement parts are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The fan assisted heaters in the hall are a similar age and also require urgent upgrading. The Cornerstone building is a vital community hub and resource in the heart of Leyton, East London, used by over 1000 people each year through children and families provision, youth work and community support groups, as well as church groups. The building itself is twenty-three years old with a heating system of a similar age.
