Projects / Cornforth Partnership

Cornforth Partnership

The group aims to address the regeneration of a deprived community, by providing a range of facilities to include advice and training, access to public service advice including employment housing, health etc as well as a youth project which addresses the isolation suffered by young people aged 11 – 22 years old.
Extensive consultation work was carried out in the area when developing a Youth Drop-In Centre. This has now been carried out and a wish has been expressed by the young individuals using the facility to see the outside space improved to maximise the use of the property and increase the number of possible activities available to young people using the facility.
The group is requesting funding to renovate the land to the rear of the Drop-In Centre into an outdoor space for the young people to use for outdoor meetings and sessions and barbeques. This space was previously in a state of disrepair, and not available for community use.
