Corpus Christi Community Centre, Coventry – Heating & Electrics

This project is for a phase of works (electrics and heating). Other phases of work are on the refurbishment of the community centre.
There is little help for community in Ernesford Grange. A nearby centre is due to close in 2024. We want to help provide community cohesion – particularly for the young, families and the elderly.
At the moment the disused and dilapidated building is an eyesore. There is nothing ecological about a big building decaying. There is need for a community centre in Ernesford Grange. The Council and Good Neighbours both highlight Ernesford Grange as having below average community facilities in Coventry. It is far better, environmentally, to renovate an old building than build a new one. There is a small part of the costs going to landscaping the land immediately around the centre – which will help the centre look attractive and welcoming. Obviously, the services on offer aim to make local residents more comfortable, with a greater sense of belonging and ownership of the area.
The refurbishment is to include an extension, provision of a plant room, re-roofing, re-configuration, heating & electrics, windows, rainwater goods, plastering, flooring and toilets.
