Corsham Cricket Club - Re-lay Cricket Club Square

The project will involve excavating and completely re-laying the existing batting surface at the Stonegate ground, extending the current square and creating two additional practice wickets. These improvements will bring the facility up to modern cricketing and safety standards, providing a more consistent and reliable playing surface with standardised bounce, making the game safer and more enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities.
This investment aligns with the club’s objective of creating better players and delivering higher-quality cricketing opportunities and events. By improving the quality and durability of the wicket, the new surface will withstand more frequent use and require less recovery time between matches, enabling a greater volume of cricket to be played. The enhanced facility will therefore support increased participation, player development, and the long-term sustainability of cricket at the ground.
