Court Farm Woods Habitat Improvement Project, Leathers Lane & Wood Road Residents Association

Leathers Lane & Wood Road Residents Association is supporting the development of a new Friends/Residents Group that is interested in the improvement and sustainable management of Court Farm Woods, a local community woodland in Halewood around 2.38 ha in size. Following a series of community meetings held locally with support from Knowsley MBC, residents have outlined the range of issues and aspirations they have for the site, which has given the brief for developing a master plan for improvement. It is the intention of this project to invest in the improvement of the woodland and other habitats on the site, including meadowland, woodland wildflower and pond habitats to restore them back to a high standard for nature, whilst also raising their amenity appeal and establishing these habitats in a sustainable management regime to aid long-term community benefit
